Your business unit
Enterprise Services (ES) is responsible for applying world leading technology solutions across our business. With innovative software platforms, we strive to maximise efficiency and ultimately offer great customer service through placing technology at the centre of how we operate.
Your team
Our payments IT team provides core IT services across our institutional level banking functions. This team is currently developing platform changes around automation, improved platform stability and are continually integrating new technologies.
Through progressive platform design, innovative thinking and an appetite to utilise the latest tech our payments IT team are driving radical change within both the industry and our business.
Your role
Day to day you will undertake complex requirements gathering through liaising with multiple stakeholders. As a senior business analyst with CBA you will process large volumes of information, document manage effectively, convert business needs to functional platform design, liaise and collaborate with external suppliers.
Institutional banking and its payments platforms have significant support for change within the group and this presents an opportunity to be part of implementing radical new technologies.
You will possess a passion for working across a wide variety of stakeholders as well as understanding the complexity of a fast-paced area within tech.
Your responsibilities
Day to day you will work with your business unit’s senior leadership team, project managers and technology leads in helping to develop, modernise and innovate across our institutional banking payments platform.
Understanding the complexities and significance of the platforms within your remit will be crucial as well as having strong communication skills. You will be expected to requirements gather across a varied stakeholder group and be mindful of risk management considerations.
In addition, you will also help drive the quality management process, offering testing advice/feedback and evaluating successful outcomes through the project lifecycle. You will be expected to understand a broad variety of project delivery and change management methodologies in order to maximise your team’s performance.
Your experience
- Proven senior business analyst experience AND payments platform experience
- Extensive experience with Java, JEE and SQL based projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven background innovating and offering process improvement recommendations,
- Strong understanding of risk management across platform development
