As part of Group Marketing, the Retail Marketing Team delivers world-class marketing strategy and communication for all retail customer segments, channels and lines of business. We are building a courageous and exceptional marketing team, through applying analytics and insights to deeply understand our customers, delivering relevant and impactful content and optimising activity through cutting edge marketing technology
The Deposits & Transactions Marketing Team (part of Retail Marketing) are responsible specifically for world-class marketing strategy and communication for Savings, Transactions and Investment products. The team is made up of two key areas: Acquisition and Portfolio. Portfolio power D&T’s cross sell, onboarding, usage and retention Direct Marketing Programs through a variety of channels.
Do work that matters
As an experienced Marketing Manager and reporting into a Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for the strategy and delivery of world-class Direct Marketing Campaigns from end-to-end. You’ll identify and execute opportunities to add value throughout the customer life-cycle that are customer focused while generating incremental revenue for the bank.
Ultimately your role will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive timely, relevant and engaging communications that deepen their relationship with us
You will specifically be responsible for
- Understand the business’ objectives so that you can provide best practice recommendations for how Marketing can most effectively contribute to their goals.
- Formulate world-class communications strategy and then execute it to drive incremental results by changing customer behaviour.
- End-to-end campaign management of multi-channel direct marketing programs throughout the customer life-cycle. Complete ownership of budgets and timelines.
- Influence stakeholders so that you can get to market on time, within budget and achieve the right outcomes.
- Write concise, insight led briefs that inspire internal stakeholders and external partners e.g. Creative Agencies.
- Implement robust multi-variate test and learn frameworks to drive results.
- Create and deliver hyper personalised communications using dynamic (variable) content.
- Use reporting tools and research to develop data driven insights so you can optimise existing direct marketing communications and customer journeys.
- Continually seek to innovate and drive continuous improvement by challenging the status quo.
- Role model the Group’s vision, values and people capabilities.
- Ensure all communication consistently meets brand and compliance requirements.
- Undertake projects and other activities as required including the updating of Marketing Collateral

- Extensive experience delivering Direct Marketing campaigns that have achieved strong incremental results.
- Autonomous with strong stakeholder & project management skills.
- Comfortable with numbers and analytics.

- Expertise with a/b testing and using variable content to increase relevance.
- Willingness to be flexible to support new or changing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem solver with a solutions mindset to overcome hurdles
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience working in an Agile environment will be highly regarded
