Risk Management is responsible for developing and deploying the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite.

The Operational Risk team is responsible for the development and implementation of the Group's Operational Risk Management Framework.

You will report into the Executive Manager, Operational Risk Portfolio and Analytics.

Do work that matters

• Create an Operating Model for the NFR Reporting Capability that is focussed on Data Management activities focussing specifically on Operational Risk and Compliance (OR&C);
• Responsible for the implementation of all aspects of data governance and data quality for the OR&C data scope;
• Responsible for the identification, definition, lineage and documentation of critical data elements in accordance with group standards;
• Identifies data quality issues and works with relevant stakeholders to design and monitor their resolution and remediation;
• Responsible for the reporting and monitoring of open RiskInsite items. Approve closure of items;
• Establish regular reporting and monitoring activities on the status of data quality across OR&C and track progress in terms of resolution;
• Assist Business Unit teams with the prioritisation of data management resolution activities as set out in the data management implementation framework;
• Educate senior stakeholders across the team about the data management activities and the importance thereof;
• Review and propose system changes to the risk system to ensure data quality is maintained or enhanced and the impact on reporting clearly understood.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about data management, data structures and building an environment that enables automated reporting and data visualisation.

• Experience in setting up governance structures and operating models to help deliver sustainable data management activities
• Experience in building and supporting a new team grow is preferred
• Skills in Open Pages, Cognos, SQL, SAS and Tableau preferred
