    Location: VIC CBD Melbourne Area

    See yourself in our team

    Our Business & Corporate Banking (BCB) business serves over 10,000 clients in the medium to large business segment across Australia, with complex financial needs and turnover >$10m ranging up to $500m.

    We are committed to understanding our clients, and delivering insights and creative solutions, to drive sustainable business growth.

    The Corporate Origination team leads opportunities for new and existing mid-market customers (Revenues $50-$500m) in diversified industries with both private and small/medium public companies. We are focused on originating and on-boarding new-to-bank customers with lending requirements usually ranging from $20m - $150m, in addition to leading transactions where existing clients are undertaking M&A or other material corporate activity;

    Once a transaction is completed and the client is on boarded, the ongoing management of the client is transferred to the Relationship Team so the Corporate Originations team can focus on the next transaction.

    Do work that matters

    Do you want to work in a collaborative team and really drive a market to continuing success? Are you currently writing complex credit papers and consider yourself highly skilled in cash flow analysis?

    You will support a dedicated team of Directors and Executives in analysing, structuring and modelling complex financing solutions in order to achieve overall team targets and business objectives.

    This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to more complex corporate banking deals, work in a strong and successful business, and gain some outstanding exposure to deal flow in the Mid-Market segment.

    More specifically, you'll:

    • Assess the viability and coordinate the execution of transactions;
    • Credit analysis, financial modelling, and producing credit applications;
    • Supporting the Corporate Origination and wider BCB relationship teams on specific finance transactions through structured credit and financial modelling;
    • Prepare and present pitches to potential clients including board level, business owners and senior management teams.

    This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to large and complex Corporate and Business Banking clients and be involved in deals with a successful business.

    We want to hear from you if you:

    • Experience in considering business and market risk, writing and analysing credit transactions;
    • Strong Excel skills and experience in financial modelling;
    • The ability to quickly grasp complex transactions, and will ideally have previous 'new to bank' transactional and credit risk experience;
    • An analytical mind with strong relationship management skills;
    • Experience with legal documentation;
    • The commitment to team success, goal orientation with a can-do attitude; and
    • A tertiary qualification in Business/Finance and/or Commerce would be highly regarded.
