The Business Unit

Within Enterprise Services, Group Operations ensures the origination, production, validation and fulfilment of all consumer and commercial financial transactions and trades on behalf of the Group. With a well-defined business strategy, Group Operations has been transforming their business and is now at the strategic centre of the Group. Their strategy is to deliver efficient and quality processes centred on the customer experience.

Group Operations is helping the Group be a more process centric organization. Process centricity is a key enabler to execute on the Platform strategy and realize the digital organization the Group aspires to be.

The Team

The Re-Engineering and Capability team partners with the business to develop, improve and grow sustainable customer-centric processes, operational leadership skills and behaviours and embed continuous improvement mindset. The team comprises a number of process re-engineering practitioners and experienced operations leaders who are passionate about reimagining customer experiences to deliver better customer and business outcomes.

The Role

As a process re-engineering Executive Manager, you will develop a cohesive, well trained and professional team and provide insights, recommendations and challenges for the business to drive and execute on, using Operations Management and Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies.

The role will drive improved Operational Excellence maturity (using proprietary ISO2001 2015-certified framework) through the relentless improvement focus on customers, our people, risk & cost and the determined embedding of this in our culture and will be accountable for identifying and delivering value outcomes.

The Executive manager will work with key stakeholders both within Group Operations and beyond to ensure that improvements are effectively identified, implemented and subsequently owned by the business to ensure cost, quality, risk and service benefits are realized.

Working closely with our Business Insights and Analytics Team you will ensure that the business measures necessary to enable Operational Capability are captured and available in a manner that enables effective data-based operational decision making.

The Requirements

An influential leader with a demonstrable track record in mentoring, developing and inspiring a high performing team you will have a history of promoting an inclusive culture where colleagues are engaged and that they feel proud to be part of.

Advanced analytical skills in understanding performance metrics and drivers, trend identification and opportunity quantification will set you up for success in this role and you will bring a proven track record in delivering operational capability strategies and productivity programs.

Demonstrable senior level stakeholder management skills will be required to enable the promotion of your team’s ideas, management of conflicting priorities and challenging of others where appropriate, facilitating and gaining consensus through those interactions.

The successful candidate will possess advanced business acumen and demonstrated skill in risk management at both operational and strategic levels. Lean / Six Sigma black belt certification is required.
