As a Risk Manager you will be a trusted adviser on all risk and compliance matters and as a result of effective engagement with the business, we challenge the status quo to help drive continuous improvement in the management of risk and support the business in achieving its objectives.

As the Manager, Risk & Entity Management you will be a member of the General Insurance (GI) Risk and Entity Management Team which is the line 1 risk team for the General Insurance business.  It is responsible for ensuring the control environment within CommInsure GI business is robust through regular monitoring, testing and reporting. BAU, projects and ad-hoc initiatives are all supported from a risk and control perspective.

In any given week you will

  • Be responsible for Operational risk assessment and profiling, control development and monitoring (RCSA) and controls assurance (CAP)
  • Assist in the development of meaningful, measurable key risk indicators and monitoring strategies;
  • Be responsible for compliance obligation identification and assessment, including regulatory change initiatives and embedding the compliance risk management framework
  • Advocate sound risk practice throughout all levels and functions of the business;
  • Advise business stakeholders and providing risk insight to productivity solutions or business process enhancements
  • Connect business stakeholders with Group or Line 2 resources to facilitate the provision of time specialist advice
  • Contribute to and provide guidance to responses to regulatory interactions including FOS, ASIC, APRA and State Government departments
  • Assist in the continuous development of and publication of risk documentation which is relevant, accessible and valued by business stakeholders.
