Risk Management is responsible for developing and deploying the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite.

The Operational Risk team is responsible for the development and implementation of the Group's Operational Risk Management Framework.

You will report into the Executive Manager, Operational Risk Portfolio and Analytics.

Do work that matters

  • Assist with the managing of the team and activities relating to Non-Financial Risk Analytics, Data and Reporting;
  • Work closely with the BROP (Better Risk Outcomes Program) Project resources in terms of the prioritisation of reporting requirements and the execution thereof;
  • Set minimum standards for BROP streams in terms of their requirements for data, analytics and reporting that the NFR Capability will need to produce;
  • Assist with the Strategy creation and awareness for Analytics and its use across team; 
  • Assist with the NFR Reporting governance, backlog, escalation protocols and model for sustainability;
  • Assist with the roll-out of the Data Analysis Risk Tools (DART) across the various BU & SU;
  • Execute on the responsibilities of the NFR Data and Reporting Factory;
  • Responsible for the business as usual activities within the team, these include loss reporting to APRA and external bodies;
  • Manage the risks and controls that are present within the function and help maintain a culture of risk awareness and pro-active management through appropriate controls and the testing thereof;

We are interested in hearing from people who possess

  • Key interest in data visualization and being passionate about dashboards and conveying large amounts of info in a simple format allowing drill throughs and deeper insights. 
  • It is also about the capability to set this style of reporting up across a wide stakeholder group and being able to deliver it through a solution that is focussed on the end-user experience
  • Experience in setting up governance structures and operating models to help deliver sustainable data management activities
  • Skills in Open Pages, Cognos, SQL, SAS and Tableau preferred
