In Bank Financial Planning (Bank FP), Quality Advice is delivered by professional advisers that is tailored to meet the needs and goals of our customers and help them plan for the best.

The Risk Management & Compliance team provide a comprehensive risk service, including risk management advice, co-ordination and completion of risk activities that enables Bank FP to manage its risk and enables the business to provide more advice to more Australians within the business risk appetite.

The role sits in a newly formed program of work, Better Risk Outcomes Program (BROP) responsible for enhancing the supervision and monitoring environment in the CBA group via process, technology and people initiatives. Help embed the BROP principles and related processes within Wealth Management Advice, ensuring appropriate governance and reporting on risks, issues and opportunities.

This opportunity is initially offered as a 6-month Maximum Term Agreement with a potential for extension or permanency. 

You will partner, advice, review and challenge the business in relation to risk management. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Executive Manager Risk Compliance Bank FP, in delivering the BROP deliverables
  • Assisting the Executive Manager to prepare reports for the business, Committees and Boards
  • Advising the business on the risks involved in projects and new initiatives
  • Advising the business generally on risk management and risks relevant to their business (e.g. Outsourcing risk);
  • Providing objective review and challenge of the data captured within RiskInSite and other data and information used in the decision-making processes within the business.
  • Developing, promoting and/or implementing the Risk Framework, including Risk Appetite Statement, Risk Management Strategy and policies

Your skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience in Operational Risk within Banking and Financial Services
  • Advanced knowledge of RiS or similar Risk Management systems
  • Sound knowledge and implementation experience of Risk in Change, Risk in Technology and Data & Privacy management standards
  • Undergraduate qualifications in either Law, Finance, Economics, Accounting
  • Relevant Graduate Diploma or Masters qualification including Compliance, Risk, Governance.
  • Diploma of Financial Planning or RG146 qualification
