As a Fee Disclosure Statement (FDS) Support Consultant, you will ensure that the Wealth Management Advice business, including its financial planning licensees, practices and advisers, are able to meet their regulatory obligations to disclose fees as required.

You will be responsible for managing various processes including Fee Disclosure Statements, Opt-In and APES 230 and providing ongoing support for Financial Advisers and Licensee representatives.

You will manage various processes relating to administration of the Fee Disclosure Statement (FDS) including:

  • Supporting the production of FDS
  • Termination of fees
  • Preparation of confirmation letters to customers
  • Managing of FDS suspense accounts.
  • Production of reports from Financial Planning and FDS systems
  • Application of business rules to analyse data and identify potential regulatory breaches
  • Liaison with Advisers to problem solve potential regulatory breaches
  • Escalate potential breaches to meet regulatory reporting requirements
  • Liaise with product providers to resolve potential regulatory breaches

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Provide feedback to the business for process efficiency and increased compliance with FOFA related obligations
  • Support financial advisers and licensee staff on the use of the FDS tool. You
  • Provide consistent and meaningful reporting to various stakeholders.
  • Maintaining process maps and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements.

Required skills & experience:

  • Previous experience in the Financial Services industry is essential
  • Knowledge of FOFA legislation and FDS disclosure requirements is an advantage
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance will be highly regarded
  • High level of attention to detail to identify errors and resolve issues immediately
  • Excellent computer skills (data reconciliation and collation in Excel using pivots, VLOOKUP, formulas and macros
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with various internal clients and external service providers.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Ability to be self-guided and learn new functionality
